Rev. Dr. Diane Bogues Named Senior Director of Joint Seminary Enrollment & Financial Aid
The Rev. Dr. Diane Bogues is the new Senior Director of Joint Seminary Enrollment and Financial Aid, responsible for recruiting, enrollment and financial aid for both seminary campuses, Moravian Theological Seminary in Bethlehem, Penn., and Lancaster Theological Seminary, Lancaster, Penn.
Dr. Bogues will be joined by an admissions associate on each campus who will recruit for the programs on the campus where they work and also provide cross-campus recruitment.
“I’m thrilled to appoint Dr. Bogues to this expanded role and look forward to her collaborative leadership and intuitive guidance of those discerning calls to pursue theological education,” said The Rev. Dr. Heather Vacek, VP and Dean of Moravian Theological Seminary and Dean, Lancaster Theological Seminary. “Dr. Bogues brings a clear vision about the future of recruitment for the two seminaries, and she has ably demonstrated her creativity, flexibility, and skill in meeting the challenge of recruiting students virtually for Lancaster during an unprecedented global pandemic. Her appointment to this joint seminary role displays the commitment to partnership between the two seminaries.”
The Rev. Dr. Bogues is an ordained itinerant elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. She joined Lancaster Seminary as director of admissions and financial aid in September 2020 from Chicago where she directed recruitment for McCormick Theological Seminary. She also has been a recruiter for Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, where she received her Doctor of Ministry degree, and Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, where she earned a Master of Divinity.
Dr. Bogues will report to Dean Vacek and will divide her time between Bethlehem and Lancaster.
She succeeds the Rev. Randy D'Angelo, Moravian Seminary's former Director of Enrollment, who transitioned to the role of Director of Administration in September upon Jane Weber's retirement.
