Transfer Students
You can begin your process by contacting our Senior Director of Joint Seminary Enrollment & Financial Aid, Rev. Dr. Diane Bogues (seminaryadmissions@moravian.edu, 610-861-1519).
Transfer students must complete the application and admissions process required of all degree candidates and request a transfer credit evaluation.
Up to one half of the credits required in a degree program can be granted on the basis of transfer credits. Coursework considered for transfer must have been taken at institutions accredited by the Association of Theological Schools, or through graduate level programs at regionally-accredited institutions. A grade of B- or above must be earned in a course to be considered for transfer.
Additionally, the course must have been taken within 10 years of the projected graduation date from the MTS degree program.
Students wishing to receive transfer credit for courses taken prior to admission to MTS must complete the Transfer Credit Application form available from the Senior Director of Joint Seminary Enrollment & Financial Aid. The completed form along with the course syllabi and official transcript will be reviewed by the faculty member who teaches an equivalent course to determine the transferability of the credits.
We'd love to talk to you about our degree programs and our welcoming community at Moravian Seminary.
