Greg has been teaching classes on addiction at MTS with a sense of humor since 2009. Humor is a part of good therapy and a part of good teaching. He also states that it helps get him through developing lectures when he gets get lost for an hour or two finding just the right YouTube clip that expresses an important point, makes students laugh, and develops good discussion.
Greg began working in the field of addictions counseling and treatment in 1995 as an Act 152 Case Coordinator working with Criminal Justice clients with alcohol and drug problems. Over the next twenty years, he continued to serve those struggling with addictions in different capacities and is currently the Director of Mid-Atlantic Rehabilitation Services Addiction Treatment Program (MARS-ATP) in Bethlehem. He is also co-owner of Monocacy Counseling Associates, a Consultant/Trainer with the Council on Compulsive Gambling of PA, and a DDAP approved trainer. When he is not attending to those who are struggling with addictions, either through his teaching or in his agency, he spends a lot of time thinking about and watching sports, dreaming about Swedish Fish, and cooking tasty meals for his family.
